About Beardies World
Beardies World started with a near-disaster. Aqib Ali's first bearded dragon, Blaze, nearly died from diet advice pulled off a random forum. That scare became a mission: build the most accurate, practical bearded dragon resource on the web, one that cites exotic vets, not guesswork.
Beardies World exists because most bearded dragon advice online is written by people who don't keep bearded dragons. It's aggregated from other articles, recycled across a dozen sites with the same six facts rearranged, and rarely updated once it's published. We wanted something different: guides written by people who actually raise these animals, reviewed before they publish, and corrected when something changes.
I'm Aqib Ali. I've kept bearded dragons for more than eight years, and I write and lead the Care and Diet guides on this site, the day-to-day feeding, handling, and health questions that come up the most.
Brittani McBirth leads the Facts and Habitat libraries, and every piece of health or disease content on the site gets a second pass through her before it goes live. That "written by one, reviewed by the other" pattern isn't decoration. It's the actual process, on every post where a mistake could cost a dragon its health.
Between the two of us, this site covers four libraries: Care, Diet, Habitat, and Facts, more than 60 guides and counting. We're not a shelter, not a rescue, and not a store. We're two keepers who got tired of bad advice costing dragons their health, so we wrote the guides we wish we'd had when we started.
